Proposed value (Objective):
THE TRIGGER:  The actions and performance of the people in your organization are not supporting the overall achievement of desired goals.  The challenge stems from the inability to overcome the people problems including leading/managing, stakeholder alignment, teamwork, and getting it done (on time and on budget).
 
A workshop/training course offers three main values:
  1.  Provides a common language and set of tools and processes to organize and lead work and to get it done as planned
  2.  A vehicle to bring real issues and challenges to a safe environment to learn how to apply key concepts and approaches to address them
  3.  Builds an enhanced collaborative basis for the participants to learn and share their roles and gain respect and appreciation from others
  4.  Established a formal set of actions and plans to address the individual and team challenges together
 
How to make this successful: (Process and Approach)
Before:
  • Conduct a formal survey (and interviews) to establish the fundamental challenges that need to be addressed
  • Customize and tailor the agenda to personalized case studies and specific areas of focus
  • Engage and stimulate commitment from future participants towards their personal and team goals
  • Establish baseline performance and targeted areas of improvement
 
During: 
  • Encourage specific examples and pre-established case studies relative to the participants in the class 
  • Adjust the timing as necessary to focus and address key issues and opportunities that arise
  • Challenge each participant with take away actions for each topic and translation to their personal world
  • Keep the energy and engagement through discussions, exercises, role plays, and case studies
 
After: 
  • Follow up on specific commitments and actions that were identified in the class session
  • Identify support membership and guidance to assure actions plans are achieved
  • Develop and utilize a reporting structure to track and manage the performance baseline and targeted improvement
  • Conduct a post session survey (and interviews) to fill gaps and reinforce commitments to action
 
Results
  • Individuals, teams, and organization improvement measured tangibly and intangibly

Next steps
  • Identify targeted audience for workshop and training
